too…to的意思是“太……以致不…
  too后接形容词，to后接动词原形。如：
  1.She is too angry to speak.
  她太生气了以致说不出话来。
  2.The box is too heavy to lift.
  这箱子太重了举不起。
  so…that的意思是“如此……以致……”，so后接形容词（也可接副词），that后接句子。如：
  1.She was so angry that she couldn't speak.她如此生气以致说不出话。
  2. He spoke so fast that I couldn't und-erstand him .
  他讲话讲得太快，以致我听不懂。
  去年省中考英语试题中的句型转换，其中有两题就是要求用so…that和too…to的表达法来改写句子。如：
  He isn't old enough to join the army.
  He is____young____he couldn't join thearmy.
  Tom can't reach the top of the box because he isshort.
  Tom is____short____reach the top of the box
  要求用so…that too…to来完成。
  有的学生恰好把两者倒过来填，结果两题都弄错了。之所以错，就是没有弄清楚so…th与too…to的用法。即开头所说的：so…that后接句子；too…to后接动词原形。
  Ex.用so…that或too…to填空：
  1.It's____late____ta ke the bus now.
  2.The letters are____small____I can't
  see the words clearly.
  3.I'm____tired____I can' t keep standing.Eey:1.too…to 2.so…that 3.so…that
