How many与How much
  many后接可数名词，名词用复数形式，如：many cars。 much后接不可数名词，名词不用复数形式，如much money。
  how many和how much都是表示“多少”的意思。how many后接可数名词，how much后接不可数名词。例如：
  （ 1 ） How many people are there inyour fam ily？
  你家里有几口人？
  How many hoursare there in a day？
  一天有几小时？
  （ 2 ） How much water is there inthe well？
  那口井有多少水？
  How much are these apples ？
  这些苹果多少钱？
  在口语中常常用a lot of， a numberof， plenty of， a good deal of代替many和much，尤其是在肯定陈述句中是这样。例如：
  （1）There is a lot ofpeople in the street.
  街上有很多人。
  （2）There is a lot ofmoney in his pocket.
  他口袋里有许多钱。
